CBN SEE Superbook events!

In December 2018, the CBN South East Europe Superbook team had the privilege of being a part of the advent outreach programme organised by 15 churches in Zagreb, Croatia.

The event was held in the headquarters of the Croatian army. Proclaiming the real reason for the season in such a prestigious place was a real honour. Superbook was not in the original plan for the event, but, at the last minute, it was included! It was certainly a God-moment.

There were about 400 children and adults, all first-time visitors, and most of the children came from foster families or were children of veterans. As always, dancing with Gizmo during the salvation poem was the highlight and everyone went home encouraged to prepare their hearts, not just their homes, for the Christmas holiday.

The team’s final event of the year was in Čapljina, in Bosnia and Herzegovina. They were invited to help distribute Christmas gifts prepared for the children there. This was their first time in Čapljina and their second time in Bosnia.

The event was held in the city cinema and there were more than 100 children and adults in attendance! The team commented that they see many open doors for the future in Čapljina.

Polish Superbook Event!

On December 8th 2018, CBN Europe held its 3rd Superbook event for the Polish community living in the UK. The event was held at Hope City Church, Hereford and over 30 families attended with 25 children!

They all watched a the Superbook episode ‘Roar!’, translated into Polish. The children loved the movie and were so involved in singing and dancing along to the Salvation Poem at the end.

After the children had watched the movie, we held a quiz based on what they had seen, using Superbook DVDs and Bibles as some prizes in the competition.

The kids absolutely loved Gizmo and hundreds of photos were taken with him. Most of our guests were not church-goers, but simply people looking for festive fun on a cold Saturday afternoon.

We’d prepared a table with New Testament Bibles and Christian literature in the Polish language. Many New Testaments and leaflets were taken which encouraged us so much.

Many guests expressed their thanks and showed their appreciation. Some even bought the Superbook Season 1 boxset in the Polish language so that they could take Superbook home with them.

Thank you so much for stopping by, we hope that you have enjoyed hearing all about what Superbook is doing around the UK and also in Europe. We look forward to seeing you next time!
