Exeter has been named the most generous city in the UK, according to Fonix, the mobile payment and messaging company.

The South Devon city beat the various capitals of the UK and other major cities like Birmingham and Manchester to take the number 1 place.

The results are pretty unexpected with London barely making the Top 20 and smaller cities featuring. Maybe the smaller sense of community and connections fosters generous giving?
