“Your God Shall Be My God”

“But Ruth said, “Do not urge me to leave you or to return from following you. For where you go I will go, and where you stay I will stay. Your people shall be my people, and your God my God.” Ruth 1:16
Over the last few days, we’ve been exploring what “Partnership” means. It’s a term that we use a lot here at CBN – it’s our way of expressing what it looks like when you support CBN Europe through your giving. We’ve been thinking about this verse from Ruth and how it portrays what a partnership could be.
The final part of Ruth’s promise to Naomi says that “Your God will be my God”. This is the pinnacle of the promise; the ultimate connection. It is ultimately going to be God that binds them together. They will follow him together. They will obey him together. They will serve him together. They will love him together.
