Superbook in Plovdiv, Bulgaria
Recently Abhinav, CBN Europe Producer, travelled to Plovdiv in Bulgaria to connect with some of our partners and attend an incredible Superbook event that was hosted by them. It is so encouraging to see how Superbook is impacting children, God is on the move in Bulgaria and we are so excited to share with you a snippet of what that looks like!
A visit to our partners at Infinity Foundation
I recently had the opportunity to travel to Plovdiv, Bulgaria to visit our partners at Infinity Foundation. They have been partnering with CBN ever since Superbook was translated in Bulgarian and have been holding Superbook screenings all across the country. I was thrilled to hear that they were going to hold a Superbook event in a Roma community.
As myself and our partners arrived, we were immediately surrounded by the children, as they knew we were there to show them Superbook. In the video above, you can see the excitement and passion they have for Superbook and the Gospel.
Part of my brief was to find some inspiring stories, so I began talking with the children about their experiences. That’s when I met Asen (8). He loves watching Superbook and had given his life to Jesus some time before.
“I was dying of hepatitis and Jesus healed me when I prayed to Him.”
I asked him, “Who is Jesus to you?”
“He is my saviour.” He replied.
I asked him more about his story of salvation.
“I was dying of hepatitis” he said, “and Jesus healed me when I prayed to Him.”
I was moved by his story and knew that this was something I should explore further. We continued the event and many children said the Salvation Prayer after the show had screened. The following day, I spent some time with Asen filming his incredible story of faith. Keep an eye out for Asen’s full story which will be released soon!
Our partners in Bulgaria absolutely adore Superbook. It has proven, time and again, to be a great tool to reach people across a wide demographic of people across the nation, from Orthodox to Catholic, as well as non-religious families.
